Clear Channel offers its advertisers detailed and rigorous insights into the effectiveness of their point-of-sale 6 Sheet campaigns at Sainsbury's stores, through the analysis of EPOS data.

The research reports compare sales of the advertised line in a test group of stores (where the campaign ran) and a control group of stores (where the campaign didn't run). We ensure that the two groups of stores are comparable on a long list of criteria (like size, sampling activity, other media activity and price promotions). The sales trends of these stores are matched for twenty weeks before the campaign, and then we observe how they differ during the campaign and after it ends. In this way, we can be sure that any difference in sales can be attributed to the Adshel campaign, as this is the only difference between the two groups of stores.

To add further depth to your understanding, it is possible to examine the market share of the advertised line and its key competitors. Where appropriate, we can investigate how the campaign has affected the parent brand as well as the advertised line, and how variants of the product responded.
